I grew up in the church, and my parents were believers in God. They always brought us to church on Sundays and I grew up knowing a lot about God. When I was 14, I placed my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, and it’s made a difference in my life.

The people around me have helped me grow in my journey in Christ. When I was growing up, my parents were always there to take me to church and help me learn. Then when I got to college, there were guys doing Bible studies that helped me grow. I haven’t done it all myself; I’ve been blessed to have a lot of people around me to help me in my journey.

The thing that has helped me grow the most in my personal faith is definitely prayer. I’m a big prayer guy. Fortunately, I have a great roommate that we travel and pray together at night before we go to bed before the games. I’ve learned that you can’t be afraid to ask God for the opportunity to do things. I have asked Him this whole season, and He’s been blessing me and my whole team.

I’m excited to be playing for the national championship against Alabama. I’ve had to fight some injuries this year, and the Lord has done some amazing things in my life. I got hurt against Ole Miss, and the doctor told me I’d be sitting at home 3-5 weeks. But I started practicing nine days after my injury. The doctor said it’s like nothing he’s ever seen before. I’ve learned you have to ask God to help you, and if you do, He’ll be there for you.
